THE USE OF SCRABBLE BOARD GAME TO IMPROVE ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILLS OF FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SDN KADIPATEN

The researcher is choose this research because the activities and learning outcomes obtained by students still need to reach the KKM. Besides that, it is also motivated by several problems that occur in learning activities at SDN Kadipaten. Based on the observations, the researchers find that the passivity of students in participating in the learning process and the lack of teacher variation in using methods and it is affect the low learning outcomes and learning activities of students, especially in speaking English. This study aims to determine the increase in activity and learning outcomes of 4 grade students at SDN Kadipaten in learning The Beauty of Togetherness using the Scrabble Board Game method. This research includes the Classroom Action Research (PTK), carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of three meetings. One cycle consists of 4 stages of activity: the planning stage, the stage implementation, the observation stage, and the reflection stage. 4th grade students at SDN Kadipaten be the subjects in this study, with 25 using the 2013 curriculum. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis were the data collection techniques used in this study. Based on the result of this research, there is an improve in the percentage of cycle I and cycle II are 36%. So the conclusion of this research that the used of the Scrabble Board game method can be improve the English speaking skills students 4 grade of SDN Kadipaten, Selomerto District, Wonosobo.
